Financial support

Before enrolling in a German course, it’s a good idea to check whether financial support is available—there are several options that might apply to your situation.

The Bildungsgeld Update, the Individualförderung and the Weiterbildungsbonus Tirol are among the most important subsidies that private individuals in Tyrol can apply for for German courses. Also language course support measures of the ÖIF (Austrian Integration Fund) are often relevant.

Which language course subsidy is actually the right one depends on the individual circumstances of the applicant as well as on the course itself. It is important that the application and the required documents are submitted on time.

Please note that this list is not exhaustive. Depending on the situation other subsidies may be eligible. In addition, subsidy opportunities and conditions change frequently.

Tip: Don't forget to talk to your employer about the topic of language courses - they may also have interesting information for you.

It is also recommendable to clarify whether your course costs can be taken into account for tax purposes.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us! We will either answer your questions ourselves or help you find the right service institution!
