Hiking in fluffy company
The Welcome Service Tirol would like to draw your attention to a new event: On May 9, 2025, the Welcome Service Tirol organizes a guided alpaca hike in Seefeld. After an introduction and the completion of the "alpaca guide licence", we will start our (approx.) one-hour hike through the beautiful landscape, together with our animal companions. The fluffy, intelligent and curious alpacas will certainly open up another wonderful side of Tyrol to the participants!

Attention: Please note that the number of participants is limited, therefore participation in the event is only possible after written confirmation of the respective participant place by the Welcome Service Tirol. Preference will be given to people who have only recently arrived in Tyrol and have not yet taken part in any or only a few Welcome Service Tirol events. People who have been in the country for some time will be considered for the waiting list.

Alpaca guide license and hike in sweet company
After a briefing on how to handle the alpacas, we will set off on our hike with them. Back at the farm we will reward our animal companions with "alpaca chocolate".

Costs
Participation in the event is free of charge.
Registration
Please register online by May 4, 2025. Please note that family members must also be registered if they wish to participate.
The number of participants is limited, which is why participation is only possible after receipt of written confirmation from Welcome Service Tirol. Due to the limited number of participants, we kindly ask you to reliably attend the event once you have received confirmation from the Welcome Service Tirol. If we receive more registrations than we have places available, we will endeavor to give preference to people who have only recently arrived in Tyrol and/or have not yet taken part in any Welcome Service Tyrol event.
We would also kindly like to inform you that people who have already taken part in the alpaca hike in 2023 will not be able to participate again.
Cancellation conditions
Should you not be able to attend, we kindly ask you to inform us as soon as possible! This will allow people on the waiting list to attend the event.
Who is this invitation intended for?
This invitation from Welcome Service Tirol is intended for qualified professionals, scientists and researchers who have recently moved to Tyrol from abroad on a long-term basis and are employed at a Tyrolean university or in a Tyrolean company, as well as their families.
Participation of children
According to information from the organic alpaca farm, the hike is usually too long and too challenging for children under the age of six. Children and youths who are used to longer hikes, physically fit and enjoy participating are welcome. Please note that the hiking trail is not suitable for strollers. Responsibility for children and youths lies exclusively with their accompanying adults.
Language
The explanations about the alpacas will be given in English and, if desired, also in German.
Weather
The event always takes place regardless of the weather. If it becomes necessary to cancel the hike as a result of an adverse weather event, we will inform you in time by e-mail.
Equipment
Shoes/boots suitable for hiking and weather appropriate clothing are required (possibly also a small snack and something to drink).
