Discovering nature together and creating memorable moments.
The Welcome Service Tirol warmly invites highly qualified professionals, scientists, and researchers who have recently moved to Tyrol from abroad and are employed at a Tyrolean company or university to join us for a special winter outing:
On February 21, 2026, we will set off on a guided 5.5‑kilometer hike through a beautiful landscape close to Innsbruck.
Starting at Lanser See (Lake Lans; see meeting point below), our path leads us along quiet forest trails and across several ascents, gradually gaining around 200 meters of elevation. Along the way, we will walk through spruce and mixed forests, pass small moorland areas, and move through open sections that repeatedly offer beautiful views. As we gain height, the panorama widens before we return to the lake via wooden boardwalks and gently undulating terrain.
The hike, rated as easy to moderately difficult, will be accompanied by a certified hiking guide and takes about two to three hours. Please note that some sections are narrow or slightly steeper and require surefootedness; snow and ice are, of course, possible in winter.
This event is a great opportunity to discover another special part of Tyrol, get some fresh air, and meet new people in a relaxed atmosphere. We look forward to a wonderful day together! Partners are warmly welcome as well.
After the hike, we will visit a traditional Tyrolean inn in the nearby area and enjoy a well-deserved lunch.
