Discovering Tyrol together.
Are you a highly qualified international professional or researcher who has recently relocated to Tyrol from abroad for a long-term position at a Tyrolean company or university? We are delighted to have you here and would like to warmly invite you to an event organized by the Welcome Service Tirol:
On 12 September 2026, we will visit the Tyrolean Farmhouse Museum (“Museum Tiroler Bauernhöfe”), an open-air museum in Kramsach. During a guided tour, we will gain fascinating insights into Tyrol’s history, culture, and way of life over past centuries. The original farmhouses, preserved from different regions of Tyrol, vividly illustrate how people once lived, worked, and organized their daily lives. Following the guided tour through part of the museum grounds, you will have the opportunity to explore the remaining farmhouses on your own and discover the open-air museum at your own pace.
We look forward to showing you Tyrol from one of its many beautiful sides. Partners are also very welcome.
Please note that registrations are reviewed on an individual basis. Priority is given to newcomers and to those who have not yet attended many of our events.

Discover how people lived and worked in rural Tyrol in past centuries and gain fascinating insights from our guide.

Take the opportunity to explore the rest of the extensive museum grounds at your own pace.

Participation in the guided tour is free of charge.
Registration
Please register yourself and/or your partner online by September 9, 2026. As places are limited, early registration is recommended.
This invitation from the Welcome Service Tirol is aimed at highly qualified professionals, scientists and researchers who have recently moved to Tirol from abroad to live here long-term or permanently and who work for a Tyrolean company or university. We are delighted that you have moved to Tyrol and would like to help you settle in as quickly and comfortably as possible!
Please note that participation is only possible after receiving written confirmation from Welcome Service Tirol. We would also like to politely point out that people whose registration has been confirmed but who do not attend the event without canceling their registration cannot be considered for further events.
Difficulty level and Equipment
As the museum grounds cover a large area and include some uphill and uneven paths, a visit to the Farmhouse Museum can be considered an easy hike.
We therefore recommend wearing appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear, and bringing sun protection, sufficient drinking water, and refreshments. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Welcome Service Tirol team.
Weather
The event will generally take place even in rainy weather. Should it be necessary to cancel it, all participants will be informed by email.
Arrival
Getting there by public transport is possible. However, due to the museum’s unique location, the journey may require a little extra planning and take longer than usual. Please refer to the VVT route planner.
Parking is available for visitors arriving by car.
Children
The event is primarily intended for adults. However, interested teenagers are also welcome to participate.

Participation is at your own risk.
Liability for personal injury remains unaffected to the extent required by mandatory law. The Standortagentur Tirol accepts no liability for any property damage arising in connection with the event, except in cases of gross negligence or intent. Furthermore, the Standortagentur Tirol is not liable for any damage caused to participants by other participants, or for damage that participants may cause to others.
