Get to know Innsbruck - even better!
The Welcome Service Tirol welcomes you as professionals, scientists and researchers who have moved to Tyrol from abroad and invites you to a new event! We would like to give you the opportunity to meet new people and at the same time show you Tyrol with its countless beautiful places!
This time we would like to invite you to a guided tour in Innsbruck. We will visit the historic old town together, learn what happened there in earlier times and what remains of it today. The tour will also take us inside the magnificent Hofkirche (court church), famous for the (empty) tomb of Emperor Maximilian I and the 28 larger-than-life bronze statues around it. This church is the most important artistic monument in Tyrol and one of the most magnificent imperial tombs in Europe.
After all these impressions of the city, we would be happy to meet you at the traditional Café Katzung in Innsbruck's old town, where part of the café will be reserved for our Stammtisch! The Stammtisch is an informal and cheerful get-together and offers the ideal opportunity to get to know other expats, exchange experiences and make friends. Of course, it is also possible to register for only one of the two parts of the program (guided tour/Stammtisch).

Arrival
We will meet in front of the main portal of the Hofkirche (court church), Universitätsstraße 2 in Innsbruck.
3.00 p.m. – 5.00 p.m.
Guided tour in Innsbruck
We will be guided through the old town of Innsbruck and the magnificent court church (Hofkirche)
5.15 p.m. – 7.30 p.m.
Stammtisch #4 (get-together) at Café Katzung
After the tour, everyone is invited to meet at Café Katzung.
Event Information
Costs
Participation in the guided tour is free of charge. The costs for food and drinks at Café Katzung are to be borne by the participants themselves.
Registration
Please register yourself and/or your partner online until April 3rd, 2022.
Feel free to forward the invitation to other international professionals, scientists and researchers as well.
The number of participants is limited, which is why participation in the event is only possible after written confirmation of the respective participant place by the Welcome Service Tirol. If more registrations are received than there are places available, we intend to give priority to people who have not yet attended an event or who have only been in the country for a short time. Due to the limited number of participants, we kindly ask you to reliably attend the event if confirmed by the Welcome Service Tirol.
Children
Children's entertainment is not provided for this event. The content and duration of the tour are more suitable for adults.
Language
There will be one guided tour in English and one in German. Should there be too few registrations in one or the other language, the guided tour would take place in only one language. However, we would inform you about this in advance.
