Innsbruck, the administrative capital and commercial centre of the Tyrol, offers exceptional quality of life thanks to its location at the heart of the Alps.
Where else can you take a cable car from the city centre and ride up to an altitude of 2300 m in just a few minutes to the Karwendel, the largest nature park in Austria? The downside to Innsbruck’s exceptional location and topography is the limited space available for residential properties and the density of the built-up area in the valley bottom, and the correspondingly high prices of building land. This situation applies not only to Innsbruck, of course, but to some extent to all the other municipalities in the Tyrol, too.
In general, Innsbruck and the other Tyrolean municipalities can be described as places with a very high quality of life.
