20 things you can enjoy when you are in Tyrol
- Walk to a mountain pasture (Alm) and try the dumplings in the mountain hut there (choose and prepare your walk accordingly, of course).
- Go to Achensee and take a boat trip on the lake or ride your bike around it.
- Ride up to Nordkette by cable car and enjoy the view of Innsbruck on one side and of the Karwendel mountains on the other.
- Find out which rock formation on the Nordkette is known as Frau Hitt and who Frau Hitt was.
- Try out (at least) one new sport.
- Visit the Stuibenfall, the highest waterfall in Tyrol with a drop of 159 metres.
- Find the peacocks in the park of Ambras Castle.
- Watch a film in the open-air cinema at the Zeughaus.
- Enjoy a day spa or time out with overnight stay(s) in one of the great wellness hotels in Tyrol.
- Go cycling or hiking (not too far) after work to enjoy this Tyrolean way of life.
- Swim in a mountain lake (for a few seconds; 5 degrees is too cold for a real swim!).

- Walk across the Highline 179 suspension bridge in Reutte and see if you are free from giddiness.
- Visit the Silver Mine in Schwaz and enjoy the medieval atmosphere.
- Enjoy a punch at the Christkindlmarkt (Christmas market) in Innsbruck while listening to the Amraser Turmbläser, who will be playing Christmas sounds from high up on the Goldenes Dachl.
- Visit the Museum of Tyrolean Farms (Museum Tiroler Bauernhöfe) in Kramsach.
